Who can ride the bus?
Anyone one within the service area may ride the bus see About
CVTD.
How much does it cost?

Can I ride with my elderly mother?
Yes and you will pay the applicable fare.
Can my Seeing Eye dog ride with me?
Yes
Can I take my bike?
Yes
Can the driver assist me on/off the bus?
Yes
Can the driver help me with my groceries, and run my errands?
Driver may help with putting groceries on the bus and taking
groceries off the bus if the client is elderly and handicapped.
We do not run errands.
Do I have to pay for my baby or child, even if I hold my
child in my lap?
Yes
Can you come in my house and help me dress?
No, drivers are not permitted to enter home of clients.
Can the driver accept a tip?
No, tips are not permitted. We encourage clients to make
donations to the Transit, which is a non-profit organization.

Where does the bus go?
Anywhere within the service area and out of service area for
medical appointments. See Fares & Tickets, Special rates for

What counties do you serve?

When do you ride free?
Try Transit week, to vote. All clients must pay a fare or
have the trips subsidized by some funding source.
Who funds the transit?
See About CVTD for funding information.
Why do some of the clients ride without putting money in the
farebox?
Arrangements for the payment of those clients have been made
with the office in conjunction with contracts, agreements,
funding, etc.
What days do you go to Houston? And what time?
Please call the office for this special service.
Why do you have time restrictions on special service trips,
i.e. Houston medical appointments?
The out of area trips are made possible due to a special
contract for clients who have rules that we must follow. We
provide the same service to non-contract clients and simply ask
them to follow the guidelines to help us keep in compliance. |
